&lt;p&gt;*After* the original post, I took one more look at the JavaScript code and found several references to the same literal.  I consolidated them using a constant.  Unfortunately, this last minute change was tested very lightly using only Firefox.  While FF, Chrome, and Safari support a &#039;const&#039; in JS, IE does not. :(&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I changed the &#039;const&#039; to &#039;var&#039; and IE seems happy with that.&lt;/p&gt;
