Place is booked – with a slight (VERY slight) possibility of even having work pay for the travel fares and allow me to go in work time – thanks for the idea of actually pushing for it Simon!!! Admittedly it took a 3-page “business case” to even have them CONSIDER it… (can you imagine what it’s like getting something which actually costs outta these guys???)

Regardless, if they don’t let me, will be coming anyway – anyone else from DDOE in the UK definitely attending?

I have exchanged emails with Rich (the event coordinator) today so I expect everyone else will hear hack shortly if they haven't already done so...

Like the others above, I e-mailed an enquiry last Weds, and haven’t heard anything back yet. Hope we do soon, or I won’t be able to book the time off to go (yes, although it would be useful for my job, they’ll make me use annual leave to go…. )
