Charley Kyd wrote a nice OLAP primer entitled Don’t Discard Those Spreadsheets: The Power of Excel-Friendly OLAP. I haven’t done much work with OLAPs, so it’s nice to have it laid out in simple terms.

Charley is very helpful. I took his teleconference seminar a year ago - excellent. That changed my situation at work (Fortune 50 company) to where I often now teach Excel setup for working from mainframes and automating weekly updates in Excel with minimal effort. Great stuff.
I am now trying to determine how to get his OLAP approach introduced to the company.
