Free X1 Software for Me
Some guy named Jason is giving away file searching software if I link to him on my blog.
The Office Weblog recommends it, so I’d guess it’s pretty nice software. I was going to download the Google Search Beta this weekend, but I’ll try this instead.
I’d like to try it before I post about it, but that’s not the deal. So I promise I’ll tell you what I think about it. Sight unseen, I can already tell you that it’s better than the search built in to Windows XP. It would pretty much have to be a malicious virus not to be.

I’m looking forward to hearing your report. I must say that I’m very impressed with Desktop Google. And you certainly can’t beat the price.

I’ve been using X1 for almost a year. It is a great program and has changed how I find my files. However, the price is a major stumbling block. With Google’s newest offering, I suspect X1 will drop in price. Who knows, I may abandon it altogether if Google is very good.

now that yahoo is planning to use x1 technology in its upcoming search tool product, this offer may not be very attractive
